Family and background
I am 34 years old. I was born, live and work in second largest Lithuanian city Kaunas. My wife Daiva works as director and physician doctor in our private medical clinic. We have two sons Karolis and Paulius. They are interested in English, Russian, Chinese and Italian languages, in programming with 3D Max or creating web pages and also in basketball. They are the best.
Occupation
When I graduated Vilnius University business administrating, management and after active work in Student Union I started my own company, which is Toshiba corporation representing company in Lithuania. Later I and my brother started the biggest copy shops net in Lithuania. I have invested and created strategies for various companies and real estate development projects. I developed my professional leadership, managing, administration, marketing, commercial and other skills through the practice while working as General Director, administrator or director board‘s member of these companies. Also from last year I work in catholic monastery near Kaunas as charity fund director.
Professional interests
My active looking-for new possibilities gives me chances to improve my skills and develop something better for people in their work and for my country. I am interested in office equipment and sublimation systems’ producers and medical equipment manufacturers. I am also looking for partners in wind power turbines and generator business, electric cars producers and LED products’ suppliers. I would like to know how science parks are creating new products, to study their sales methods, to learn cultural work differences.
Rotary
I have been a member of Vilnius – Kaunas Rotary Club “Dipolis” since 2006. About our rotary club you can find http://www.dipolis.eu/ . Rotary values and work principles are well known to me as I keep close relationships with all Kaunas Rotary clubs as an initiator of Kaunas RC ‘business lunch’ tradition. Besides we visited several foreign clubs in Moscow, Barnaul, Shanghai, Milan and Chicago during the last few years. As an active Rotarian interested in up to date RI activities I visited RI convention in Copenhagen in 2007. My visit to RI World Headquarters gave me broader knowledge of RI history and its projects on a world scale. In the year 2007 when I was the president of our club we did a number of projects initiated or led by me and that is why we were visited by many other Rotary clubs even from abroad, for e.g. from Denmark and Netherlands.
I am grateful for a possibility to be Team leader in GSE program for Taiwan, 2009. It is a unique chance to represent Lithuanian – Danish district 1460 internationally.
